Presidential elections in Slovakia

I am reading about presidential elections in Slovakia. I am pretty happy with the result (or with one half of the result since my favourite cadidate goes to the second round) and I am also having fun here cause election day can bring some new insights such as: Obama´s campaign was so effective, that some Slovaks added him to the list of candidates and voted for him. Our prime minister feels like allmighty (that´s actually not a new insight) – he visited Czech republic and promoted a candidate which is against the rule of moratorium. The most interesting thing is that there is a rule saying that it is forbidden to promote any candidate in any way but there is no sanction for violating it so the prime minister is safe (and still all mighty). State symbols are apparently losing on their significance – one election district used their district stamps instead of the state stamps on the valid ballots (I wonder whether they made them invalid by that act , and last but not least – not everyone is invited to vote  – a whole newly build neighbourhood in Bratislava did not get invitations for the elections – among them also a mayor of this part of Bratislava.

In every case elections went pretty good except of one heart attack, one broken arm and fire in one district and I´ll be there for the second round =)

Very satisfied with the previuos week

Seems like the meeting with my friend started the whole chain of great encounters and moments that followed during the whole week. I played a handball match with real joy! I have met a person (I want to respect the privacy of others so I will not name) to solve a problem and except of the solution, I also found a motivation, joy, new thoughts and someone I understand a bit better (it´s always a great feeling). I was in the cinema with Mari (I hope that´s OK to name..hihi) and the next day I was to the musical (which I really really enjoyed). Saturday was the day of relax and singing. Today I have finished a present that looks really amazing and if it was not a surprise I would publish it here =) (maybe later), I have invested into my sport life, I was in a gym and I improved Dante´s environment. Right now I am in a process of figuring out which system camera to buy. My old one has someone completed its mission and I feel that my mission in photgraphy is not over yet. Moreover I feel it very strong that I would like to go out there and take pics of the beauty that is surounding us.

And yes..sun was shining today and it was a bit warmer, I smelled spring in the air =)

Long lasts the friendship

I am smiling. Wide.

I have met a friend today. I have thought of him recently. I have thought of our summers that we spent by playing basketball, volleyball, rollerskating, watching handball matches, going to the open cinema, playing basketball, volleyball.. He does not have clue how much he meant to me and how he made my days then. He does not have clue because I myself did not have clue. But I know it now. Those days are written deep in my soul. Those days have had an impact on who I am, what I do and whom I spent time with now, in my current life.

He does not know but he was there when I needed to see sunshine through the rain and catch at least one ray. I have not seen this friend for 9 years. I have met him today. It felt like we saw each other yesterday.  No need for ice breaking phrases. No need to catch up. We just went on from where we left. Amazing feeling.

It was nice to see a person who had such a huge impact on me. And today he did it again. He brought some inspiration to my life..

After three weeks

Three really crazy weeks have past…week = work work work, weekend = Juvente skolen in Norway ( also work), week = work, work, work (the days at work are getting longer and longer), weekend = UNF international committee meeting, week = work, work, work (the days at work are really long  and end between 20.00 and 23.00. And then finally Sarajevo, including two different meetings and one seminar.

Sarajevo is very special. I always feel “deeper” when being there. It makes me think. I think about humanity. About time. About history and past and the fine line between them. I think about conflicts and peace. And about lifestyle. About happiness. It was wonderful to meet a friend I have not seen since summer. It was great to see the Active board together and in action. I also managed to write an article and prepare my lecture. I hope both the article and the lecture will give something to others. But even if not, I really enjoyed preparing them =) I got to move the parts of my brain where my psychology knowledge is stored =)

It´s been some time since I was to an Active seminar. I am thankful I got to be there with the participants, to see them coming, to see them getting know each other, to see them discussing, to see them learning from each other and taking care of each other. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I enjoyed the place eventhough the first encounter was very cold – the building was not heated up. The people made it warm and unforgettable. It was not easy to leave. I would like to be there till the end of the seminar, to see how the application I had once written have changed into a real event, with real activities and real people.

It was not easy to leave, but it was nice to come home. To get some sleep finally. To spent time with Dante and to do nothing for a change =)
